Many times I have to re-read the passage many times to understand what God is trying to tell me sometimes, it’s instant, and some times it takes a while as I meditate doing my dishes, driving car…suddendly I get some revelation I jump and re-reading again! After understanding Gods heart there what he is trying to teach me how I feel is “Eating a Hyderabad Dum Biryani “( That’s my favorite, my husband always compare my excitements with that 🙂

KNOW HIM… KNOW HIM MORE
1:2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.(I am a visual person, I understand better if I draw something like this)
Here Peter saying when we grow in the knowledge of God, we get more(multiplies) peace and grace…
What is meant by increasing in knowledge? To know more facts about the Bible and memorize the Bible to get head knowledge? Nah ..Nah!
Knowledge is → KNOW HIM → UNDERSTAND HIS HEART
what he likes..
what pleases him..
what he delights in..
What he hates..
What disgusts him..
what makes him angry..
How can we grow in the knowledge of God?
We grow by “READING WORD OF GOD” we only know all these by diligently reading his word.
Many of us love God, but we don’t want to spend so much time to know him more, because we are too busy with our world, but we speak a lot about God and Pray also..hmm…
Can we pause for a min and ask this question..
Question:How much I know GOD?

we digging ourselves in the word will bring lasting relationship with God !!
2. Divine Help ( Holy Spirit help)
God is so amazing he didn’t left us just read his word and understand ourselves. he sent an helper to help us. As we start reading his word, Holy spirit reveals Gods heart to us!
Question: Do I experience power of holy spirit in my life?

( doesn’t have to be tounges/prohesy..etc, once we are born again we all have indwelling Holy Spirit in us)

So we have knowledge of God and power of the Holy Spirit then how to lead to that Godly life Peter is referring to?
Once we are saved with FAITH..( we are born of GOD)
We will start knowing GOD ( like a child after born trying to know parents) Holy Spirit living in us help us as we walk with GOD.
FAITH → GOODNESS
GOODNESS → KNOWLEDGE
KNOWLEDGE → SELF CONTROL
SELF CONTROL → PERSEVERANCE
PERSEVERANCE → GODLINESS
GODLINESS → KINDNESS
KINDNESS → LOVE
It is so important to remember these.. many times we can be nearsighted and so occupied thinking we are on track
praying so much..
meditating God’s word so much..
God’s work so much..
forgetting these qualities…
May we all search our hearts every moment and walk towards God adding all these to our Christian walk !
